I have ridden thousands of miles now using the HD Boom Box system. I absolutely could not imagine riding without in now! Just know that it is a computer and needs regular system and map updates just like your smartphone or computer. It needs these updates to keep running smoothly. This can be confusing for some, but with the TUTORIAL VIDEO you can make easy work of it and you won't be frustrated.

I have tried several times to update the software in the Boom Box from my current 1.18.0 to the new 1.19.2 software version, using 2 different memory sticks and both a Windows PC and an Apple iMac. Each time, when I do get a dialogue box showing on the Boom Box screen it says there is no recognisable file on the media stick. I have downloaded the software from the official H-D source a number of times into my computer and then downloaded it from there to my memory stick. The memory sticks are formatted in the FAT format. Any help would be appreciated.
Try an brand new memory stick. That has done it for others with that problem. If that doesn’t work then you can try re-booting your Boom Box (resetting it). We show you how to do that in our original Boom Box video. https://www.lawabidingbiker.com/boombox. If those don’t work then you have a lemon unit and you’ll need Harley to replace the unit under warranty. Hope this helps Tony.
hi, I have a 2014 street glide that came with de standard radio. I bought a Harley Davidson Touring Ultra Limited Boom Box 6.5 originally from another bike. Everithing works fine bur navigation mode does not load. (message error: navigation is not ready yet). Could you please help me? Thanks

since loading the lastest update for my 2014 ultra limited my flash drive music pauses a lot. the symbol that it puts up matched one in the book that syas the source has been interrupted. I have tried 2 different playlist on different flashdrives. Any ideas?m
Just one of the problems with the Boom Box updates. Although they often fix some issues, they have been known to break other things. It’s been a frustrating ride. All you can do is revert to the older software version if it was working better.
Hi. I am trying to update the BOOM! Box to 1.21.2.1 , but every time I try it’s saying no playable media found with an okay button to click. I’ve contacted Harley Davidson with no help. He had me extract the file to try it that way and still nothing. Help please! Also off topic… I don’t know if the update may help, but my media button is grayed out and it won’t let me Bluetooth my phone to my radio no longer.
We show you in our video how to update software. Make sure you have a completely clean memory stick w/ no folders. Put the .iso file only on that thumb drive. Plug in. Update. I bought the Boom Box Tutorial and was under the impression that I could use Apple car play without installing the WIM and a headset that information was not on the Boom GTS video where can I find that information

I purchased your Boombox Infotainment video. Very informative! I also purchased the Boombox Software,Dealership and maps video. It is very informative also, however, HD has changed the web page. I figured out finally how to update the Boombox software successfully but no luck on the Dealership Locations software update and the Maps because my PC won’t let me pick the FAT32 format. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys!
