The MotoAmerica Live Subscription Controversy

One of the best benefits of HOG membership in 2024 was 50% off a MotoAmerica Live subscription, which allowed members to watch King of the Baggers races at a significant discount.

However, after trying to renew in 2025, we ran into a major issue:

• The 2025 HOG benefits pamphlet and website still listed 50% off MotoAmerica Live, but when we tried to redeem it, the discount wasn’t applied.
• We troubleshot multiple accounts and contacted both Harley-Davidson and MotoAmerica Live, but got no resolution.
• After a month of back-and-forth, I reached out to a high-level Harley-Davidson rep to get clarification.

The Final Answer: No More MotoAmerica Discount

After escalating the issue, I was informed that Harley-Davidson did not renew their contract with MotoAmerica Live for 2025.

• Despite outdated information on HOG's website and printed materials, this benefit is no longer available.
• Unfortunately, MotoAmerica Live support was unresponsive and provided no assistance.
• As a result, this was a huge disappointment for those who relied on this perk.

Should You Renew Your HOG Membership in 2025?

Without the MotoAmerica Live discount, some riders (myself included) are rethinking whether HOG membership is worth it.

Things to Consider Before Renewing:

• Do you use the community benefits? If you enjoy group rides and dealership events, HOG is still a great option.
• Do you need roadside assistance? If your insurance already covers towing, you might not need this perk.
• Do the discounts offset the $59 fee? If you regularly use the Hilton, Shell, or other benefits, membership may still be valuable.

How HOG Can Improve

One major takeaway from this experience is HOG’s lack of communication about benefit changes. Many members had no idea about the MotoAmerica Live discount in 2024, and now in 2025, outdated information is still misleading customers.

Suggestions for HOG:

1. Improve Communication – Send email updates when benefits change.
2. Keep Online Information Updated – Remove expired benefits immediately.
3. Enhance Customer Support – Ensure members get timely and accurate responses.
