We were on a long-distance motorcycle trip to the midwest and going through Wyoming when my shifter arm and shaft stripped out on my Harley-Davidson and I lost the ability to shift. It was late when it happened and we were just outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming. I was able to reach down and shift with my hand to get into Cheyenne to our hotel. The next morning I went to the dealership and luckily they had the parts.
