We recently removed the front outer fairing to install heated grips on my 2014 Street Glide Special. I must admit that installing the Harley Davidson brand heated grips was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I also installed a Harley Hammock heated seat on my bike.

i just wayched the video for removing the outer fairing on a streetglide & found it very helpful. i’m trying to find a short in my radio memory wire circuit, it blew a fuse & i replaced it, the radio played & i turned the ignition off. the next time i went to ride it did not come on i checked the fuse & it was blown again, i tried one more time & it blew soon as i started pushing the new one. there is a dead short somewhere if i can find it. i have been an Electrician since 1988 but all my experience is in industrial. PLCs, MCCs, etc but a short is a short. i would give a donation but have been out of work since May 26th of 2011, i had a bad atv accident,flatlined twice, fractured T6 & T8 vertebrae, severe brain trauma. the doctors didnt expect me to live through the night, then were telling my parents if i lived i would be a vegtable. later in the hospital i was fussing about the blisters on my hands from the wheelchair & they were telling me they would callus up after a while that i would never get out of the wheelchair, but after about 2 1/2 years of intense therapy & rehab last sept. 23 i rode my sportster down my driveway & back, i cried alittle bit some out of happiness & some because i was terrified. to date i’ve rode my sportster around 1,000 miles, my nighttrain about 2,000 miles, & my streetglide about 1,800 miles pretty damn good for a vegtable. it took a lot longer than i expected but i made it with GODs help. when i get back to work i will give a donation, your videos are very informative, thanks again my brother ride safe & ride often keep your knees in the breeze & your chin in the wind
