VIDEO & BLOG-As I have stated, Harley Davidson put the cart before the horse a bit on the Boom Box for the Rushmore Project and is playing catch up now. The system is awesome, but has several issues. I truly believe these issues will be corrected in time with the ongoing routine software updates. Fresh out is the newest Boom!™ Box system software version and everyone needs to update.

There have been many bugs, hiccups, and a rumored (hush, hush) virus in the Boom!™ Box System that Harley Davidson has not commented on (Hmmm?). See no evil, hear no evil-right? The Boom!™ Box Infotainment System comes standard now on the new 2014 Project Rushmore touring Harley Davidson models. It is also coming standard on the new Harley Davidson 2015 models. There is the 4.3 (non-touch screen) version and the 6.5 touchscreen version.

Ryan, please let me know. The software update for boombox you offer. Is it for the 4.3 or 6.5 screen? the Harley site states a update for 4.3 screen only. Thanks.

Great job on the videos. I bought the boom box tutorial and softwaee update tutorial. So much eadier than reading the manual and explained in layman’s terms. As a retired Deputy I applaud you for tbe standards you have set for your club.

Hey brother, love the videos. I bought the Boom box video it’s awesome. Have you heard of any reason why the software down load is unavailable from the Harley site? Been that way for a week or so.

Harley is running like chickens with their heads cut off right now. Problems with the Boom Box and now with the software update. I don’t know when it will be back up.

I’m sure everyone knows but don’t do the 18.1 update – it has the potential to totally fubar the system. Mine is currently screwed up and no dealer seems to be able to unscrew it. After a month still no patch to fix the patch. After 3 months and 12,000+ miles I have determined this Infotainment system sucks.
Yan Lawrence, some are having major problems withe the 1.18.1 update. Others like me are not. Harley took the updates down for now on their website. They are feverishly working on a new patch. The system would be awesome besides all the bugs and viruses. They should have had Apple make it and not Harmon Kardon and we would not be having issues like this…LOL

Just out of curiosity, when looking for info on software updates I can’t find a txt or faq if you will on what changes have been made in the newest realeases….
I made a quick link for you: It is always listed under the software update version. click the plus sing and it drops down to tell you some of the fixes.

The software download link for the WHIM says that the file is corrupted. Any idea why I cannot download the software?
