Great video! Worth the cost. Question. Will the audio come on with the accessory switch as well as the ignition switch? Thanks much! Great job!
Ryan Urlacher says
Hey Frank, hope all is well and you are getting some riding in!!
Yes the audio will work when ignition or the accessory position is selected.
Mike says
Ryan. My boom audio windshield mounted speaker was working fine until today. It would play then fade out to nothing but still have power because the power light is on. I try it later, works fine then fades out to nothing again. What do you think is the problem?
Ryan Urlacher says
Ooooh boy, my guess with only that info is that the unit itself is bad or going bad…. Sucks for sure 🙁
Paul says
Hey Ryan,
I just purchased the Boom Audio windshield speaker can I use this video for install procedure? I have a 2014 switchback FLD I know there are some minor differences in the electronic wiring… I was wondering if I need to solder wires to the Electronic connection kit or can I wrap them on? this is my first DIY project on my bike.. I wan’t to purchase the video but am not sure if it’s for my type of install
Matt Couchman says
Paul,
I think it should get you real close. Between the video and the HD instructions you should be fine. If you buy the video and are not happy with it, we’ll refund your money.

I have a 2019 Fatboy Special which requires an updated wiring harness. Fairly easy to install as it’s plug and play. On the end of the harness is three wires (different colors)
On the end of the boom
Wiring is the same three colors. I soldered this
Together however the unit will not
Power on. What am I missing? The harness should power the unit correct? It doesn’t give me a wire to go directly to the battery.
Thanks for the input.

Can I install a Boom Audio system on my 2004 Harley Road King? The box says “’09-Later Road King Models” Of course I mounted the speakers and hand controls before I read that on the box–I only have the electrical hook up to go, but I’ll stop and take it off if it won’t work with my 2004 Road King…
