2025 Harle-Davidson Cruiser LineupIn this episode, we talk about the 2025 Harley-Davidson Cruiser lineup. I had the opportunity to attend the press event in Austin, Texas, and ride these new cruisers. Keep in mind I only got a few hours with these bikes, but I give you my impressions of the six cruisers that were upgraded. All six received the Milwaukee-8 117 engine and rider safety enhancements.

Test Ride Impressions

Street Bob 117: A Lightweight & Agile Cruiser

  • Ideal for shorter riders: At 5'8″, I found the ergonomics to be comfortable with mid-controls and a well-positioned handlebar.
  • Analog Speedometer with Digital Readout: Displays essential ride data, including RPMs, fuel range, and tire pressure monitoring.
  • Torque & Power: The Classic variant of the Milwaukee-Eight 117 delivers 98 horsepower and 120 lb-ft of torque, making it a punchy yet easy-to-handle ride.

Breakout 117: A Bold & Stylish Power Cruiser

  • Fat rear tire: While it adds to the aggressive look, it makes handling a bit heavier, especially in corners.
  • Forward Controls & More Vibration: Riders experience more road feedback through handlebars and pegs.
  • Custom Variant Power: 104 horsepower and 126 lb-ft of torque, with a more rev-happy powerband.
  • Single Front Brake Setup: Works well but lacks the stopping power of dual-disc setups.

Fat Boy 117: Classic Comfort & Power

  • More Comfortable for 5'8″ Riders: The handlebar placement is better than the Breakout, allowing a more relaxed posture.
  • Floorboards Instead of Pegs: Adds comfort for long-distance cruising.
  • Lean Angle Considerations: 25.6-degree lean angle limits aggressive cornering but suits the bike's cruising nature.

Low Rider ST & Low Rider S: Performance-Oriented Cruisers

  • High Output Variant: 114 horsepower and 128 lb-ft of torque, delivering a more aggressive ride.
  • Inverted Front Forks: Improve handling and front-end stability.
  • Low Rider ST vs. S:
    • ST: Features a club-style fixed fairing and saddlebags for light touring.
    • S: A more stripped-down, performance-driven variant.
  • Ergonomics: At 5'8″, I found the bars well-placed and mid-controls comfortable, but longer trips might benefit from forward controls.

Heritage Classic: The Underrated Tourer

  • Classic Styling: Traditional Harley look with leather saddlebags and a detachable windshield.
  • Most Comfortable Seat in the Cruiser Lineup: Ideal for long rides.
  • Perfect for Touring: Though classified as a cruiser, it's a mid-level touring bike with great wind protection and relaxed ergonomics.

Safety & Rider Aids

Advanced Rider Safety Enhancements

All 2025 Harley-Davidson cruisers come with modern rider safety aids:

Cable Clutch vs. Hydraulic Clutch

Harley continues to use cable-operated clutches, which require periodic adjustments. While functional, I strongly prefer the consistency of a hydraulic system, which would be a welcome upgrade in future models.

Final Thoughts: Which 2025 Harley Cruiser is Right for You?

Best for Performance Riders: Low Rider ST / Low Rider S

  • If you prioritize aggressive handling, power, and sportier ergonomics, these models are for you.

Best for Classic Cruiser Fans With Windshield: Heritage Classic

  • If comfort, traditional styling, and a versatile ride are your priorities, this is an excellent choice.

Best for Aggressive Styling & Chopper Look: Breakout 117

  • If you want bold styling with a fat rear tire and strong acceleration, the Breakout is a head-turner.

Best Entry-Level Cruiser: Street Bob 117

  • A lightweight, easy-handling bike with great ergonomics for shorter riders.

Best for All-Day Comfort Without A Windshield: Fat Boy 117

  • With its plush seat and floorboards, the Fat Boy is perfect for relaxed cruising.

Conclusion

After two full days of testing the 2025 Harley-Davidson cruiser lineup, it's clear that each model caters to different riding styles. Whether you're looking for a performance machine, a laid-back cruiser, or something in between, Harley's 2025 lineup has something for everyone.

112 PowerPlusThe 2025 Indian PowerPlus lineup has arrived, and I had the opportunity to test these bikes in the stunning landscape of Lake Las Vegas and the Valley of Fire. With an upgraded 112 cubic inch PowerPlus motor, new rider-assist technologies, and refined aerodynamics, Indian has taken their motorcycles to the next level. This review will cover the engine performance, ride quality, handling, technology, and new safety features introduced in this lineup.

The New 112ci PowerPlus Engine: More Power, More Fun

Indian has built upon its 108ci liquid-cooled PowerPlus engine, upgrading it to a 112ci V-twin that delivers:

  • 126 horsepower at 5,500 RPM
  • 133 foot-pounds of torque at 3,600 RPM
  • 60-degree V-twin configuration
  • Overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, and dual throttle bodies

Compared to the 2023 Indian Pursuit Dark Horse I tested for a year, the 2025 PowerPlus engine offers more power and better low-end torque. The real question is how this translates to real-world performance, which I explored during the test ride.

First Impressions: Chieftain PowerPlus & Redesigned Fairing

I was assigned the 2025 Indian Chieftain PowerPlus, and right away, the bike felt incredibly well-balanced. Despite its size, it was easy to manage, and the redesigned batwing fairing is noticeably sleeker and more aerodynamic.

The new fairing design includes:

  • Separated dual vents for better wind management
  • More refined lower sections for improved airflow
  • Wind tunnel-tested shape for high-speed stability

While the sharknose fairing remains largely unchanged, the batwing updates make a real difference in handling and rider comfort.

Riding Performance: How Does the 112 PowerPlus Feel?

Once in the saddle, I could instantly feel the higher-revving nature of the PowerPlus engine.

  • The torque kicks in at 3,600 RPM, pushing the rider back in the seat.
  • This engine thrives in the higher RPM range, delivering a sporty, performance-driven feel.
  • At 5,500 RPM, the bike produces 126 horsepower, making it one of the most powerful V-twin touring motors available.

For those who prefer a more traditional low-end torque experience, Indian still offers the Thunderstroke air-cooled engine on select models. This gives buyers a choice between classic American cruising or high-performance touring.

Suspension & Braking: Inverted Forks and Radial-Mounted Brembos

  • Front: 43mm inverted forks with 5.1 inches of travel, offering more rigidity and precision than conventional forks
  • Rear: Fox Monoshock with 4.5 inches of travel

The inverted forks provide:

  • Less flex under braking
  • More precise steering feedback
  • Better handling in aggressive riding situations

  • Dual 320mm semi-floating rotors (front)
  • 298mm floating rotor (rear)
  • Brembo radial-mounted calipers

Radial-mounted brakes provide better rigidity and performance compared to standard axial-mounted ones, making this a high-performance touring machine.

Rider Assist Features: New Innovations for 2025

Indian has introduced some of the most advanced rider-assist features on an American-made V-twin. These include:

Standard Features

  • ABS
  • 6-axis IMU
  • lean-angle detection with traction control and ABS.
  • Drag torque control to prevent rear-wheel lockup on aggressive downshifts

New for 2025

  • Hill Hold Control – Keeps the bike from rolling backward when stopped on an incline.
  • Electronically Linked Braking – If the rider applies only the front or rear brake, the system automatically applies the other for better balance, stopping, and safety.
  • Blind Spot Detection – Warns riders with mirror-mounted yellow LED indicators when a vehicle is in their blind spot.
  • Rear Collision Warning – Alerts riders when a vehicle is following too closely and pulses the brake light to get the driver’s attention.

These safety features make a significant difference, particularly for riding in heavy traffic conditions.

Comfort, Ergonomics, and Ride Quality

The 2025 Chieftain PowerPlus offers a well-designed rider triangle, making it comfortable for long-haul rides.

  • Stock seat: Well-padded with excellent lower back support
  • Floorboards: Spacious and positioned well for comfortable leg placement
  • Adjustable windscreen: Allows riders to set their preferred wind protection

One ergonomic improvement Indian could consider is adjusting the brake pedal placement slightly forward for better foot positioning.

Technology & Infotainment: Ride Command System

The 7-inch Ride Command system remains largely unchanged from previous Indian models, offering:

  • GPS Navigation
  • Bluetooth Connectivity
  • Apple CarPlay
  • Customizable Ride Modes (Rain, Standard, Sport)

While functional, the system could use an update. Given the premium price of these bikes, a fully digital dashboard with faster processing and a smoother interface would be a welcome upgrade.

Final Thoughts: A High-Performance Touring Machine

After spending an entire day riding through the Valley of Fire, I can confidently say the 2025 Indian PowerPlus lineup delivers a fun, powerful, and well-engineered riding experience.

What Indian Got Right

  • More horsepower and torque than the previous 108ci motor
  • Sleek, aerodynamic batwing and shark nose fairing
  • Inverted forks and radial-mounted Brembo brakes
  • Blind spot detection and rear collision warning, a first on an American V-twin
  • Improved heat management compared to past models

Areas for Improvement

  • Ride Command system needs an update
  • Cable clutch should be upgraded to a hydraulic system
  • Large radar unit on the rear could be better integrated for aesthetics

Who Is This Bike For?

This bike is best suited for riders who want:

  • A powerful, high-performance touring motorcycle
  • The latest rider assist features for safety and comfort
  • A sporty V-twin experience with high-revving power

For those who prefer a traditional low-end torque cruiser, the Thunderstroke models might be a better fit.

Final Verdict: Worth It?

If you are looking for a modern, high-performance bagger that retains the classic Indian motorcycle charm, the 2025 PowerPlus lineup is an excellent choice.

Indian Motorcycles 2025 ModelsIn this episode, I'm joined by Lurch, and we talk about the 2025 Indian Motorcycle Models.  An all-new PowerPlus 112 is available in select models, as well as new rider technology.  The 112 Powerplus engine is available in Chieftain, Challenger, Roadmaster, and Pursuit.  Indian Motorcycles also released a new model which is the 2025 Sport Chief RT.  Sport Chief RT delivers custom-inspired style straight from the factory. The all-new, all-weather locking rigid saddlebags add sleek style and more than 10 gallons of practical storage.  The 2025 Sport Chief RT introduces an all-new PowerBand Audio Bluetooth speaker.

For 2025, the PowerPlus lineup will debut a host of new rider assist features that are aimed at improving rider awareness and enhancing rider convenience. These new rider assist features will be bundled with previously offered SmartLean Technology and come standard on vehicles with the PowerPlus 112 engine. This continued innovation from Indian Motorcycle delivers technology and features that create a more comfortable and confident riding experience.

Rider Assist Features:

  • Bike Hold Control – Activated by the rider, this braking system automatically maintains brake pressure to prevent the bike from rolling while resting at an incline for up to three minutes.
  • Electronic Combined Brake System – This new feature optimizes brake pressure across both front and rear circuits based on the rider's brake input, delivering balanced and efficient braking performance.
  • Blind Spot Warning – The system alerts riders when a vehicle is detected in their rear blind spot with warnings across their in-dash seven-inch display powered by Ride Command and light indicators on the side mirrors. Riders can customize notification preferences to suit their needs.
  • Tailgate Warning – This warning system alerts riders when a vehicle is traveling too close for comfort behind the rider. Riders will be notified via their in-dash seven-inch display powered by Ride Command. Riders can adjust the notification mode and following distances to suit their preferences.
  • Rear Collision Warning – This feature alerts rearward approaching vehicles via rear lighting when a potential rear collision is detected.

Harley-Davidson 2025 ModelsIn this episode, we discuss the official launch of the Harley-Davidson 2025 Models.  The cruiser lineup received the Milwaukee-eight 117 cubic inch engine customized to each bike. One of the standout updates across the cruiser lineup is the addition of ride modes (Rain, Sport, and Road) as standard—a feature previously reserved for touring models.

There are two new models for 2025.  One is the Street Glide Ultra and the other is the Pan America 1250 ST.

The Harley-Davidson 2025 cruiser lineup features three new Milwaukee-Eight 117 powertrain variants:

Milwaukee-Eight 117 Custom: Found in the Fat Boy and Breakout.
Milwaukee-Eight 117 High Output: Exclusive to the Low Rider S and Low Rider ST.

Harley-Davidson’s touring lineup includes incremental updates:

  • Over-the-Air Updates: New models feature over-the-air software updates for the Infotainment Control Unit (IFCU), eliminating the need for manual downloads and uploads.
  • Street Glide Ultra: A new addition with a fixed trunk, redesigned lower fairings, a taller windshield, and optional heated grips. Available in chrome or black trim, it’s tailored for long-haul comfort.

The all-new Pan America 1250 ST bridges the gap between street and adventure bikes with:

  • Quick shifter
  • Michelin Scorcher street tires
  • Lower seat height and adaptive ride height
  • Slimmer design with reduced radiator shroud size
