Denver, Colorado-Iron Order MC Member Derick Duran Cleared in Shooting of Mongols MC Member Victor Mendoza-Self-Defense

Self-Defense-Iron Order Motorcycle Club member Derrick “Kong” Duran has been cleared of any wrongdoing in the fatal shooting of Mongols MC member Victor “Nubs” Mendoza that occurred on January 30, 2016 at the Motorcycle Expo at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado. Many articles & bloggers want to note that Duran is a corrections department employee. If we are going to note Duran's employment affiliation, then we might as well clearly note that Mendoza was a full patch member of the Mongols MC, a clearly recognized outlaw motorcycle gang (OMG) with convicted felons as members.

As I have stated many times, I have no affiliation with either of the motorcycle clubs involved, neither the Iron Order MC nor the Mongols MC. I have never personally experienced a problem with members of either club. Instead, I rely on facts and the appropriate criminal investigation. The basement bloggers will continue their rants of ridiculous conspiracy theories to fit their agendas. Of course, they have zero evidence of such to present when asked.

LAB-101-Colorado Motorcycle Expo Biker Shooting & Stabbing-1 Killed-A Fair Perspective

The Denver Police Department spent hundreds of hours on this detailed criminal investigation. On Monday, it was turned over to the Denver District Attorney's Office, said Denver Police Commander Ron Saunier, as a first-degree murder case. The DA's Office revealed in a press release that both Duran and Mendoza fired shots. A confrontation occurred between the Iron Order and the Mongols. At some point, Duran fired the first shot, which injured one person. Mendoza then fired his pistol at Duran, grazing his torso and striking another man standing behind Duran. At this point, Duran fired back at Mendoza, killing him.

The official press release from the DA's Office dated April 19, 2016 says, “The case was presented for consideration of charges yesterday, and the legal review concluded that there is no likelihood of a conviction due to the self-defense claim of Mr. Duran.”

The DA's Office said four people were hit by gunfire, two people were victims of assault and one person was stabbed during this incident. Commander Saunier said about 40 witnesses were interviewed at the scene and 17 of those were with the Iron Order MC. So, that means 23 of those witnesses were completely independent bystanders. Saunier said, “We have considered this a homicide investigation throughout. I believe we have done a complete and thorough investigation.”

Note: Fatal shootings are investigated as a homicide from the ground up by law enforcement in the U.S. and are taken very seriously when it comes to overall efforts. The self-defense or “justifiable homicide” prong can later be investigated and a DA can [Read more…]

Custom Harley Primary Derby Clutch Cover Plate-Install & Overview

Video-In this video I give you an overview of a custom Harley primary clutch cover (derby cover). It is black, has a logo on it, and were very pleased with the quality of this cover!

I also show you how to remove your stock clutch cover and replace it with a custom cover. If you are doing this project on a newer Harley you will likely need a different (older) style clutch cover gasket.

The newer Harleys derby covers are machined differently with an orange rubber type seal around it. Many of the companies making custom primary covers are using the older style clutch covers, which fit just fine, but need more of a traditional flat circular style gasket.

Biker Club Shootout At Kickapoo Casino Gas Station in Harrah, Oklahoma

We are covering an incident that occurred near Kickapoo Casino in Harrah, Oklahoma following a shootout between two motorcycle clubs Friday night, February 19, 2016. The incident took place around 9:00 p.m., at HWY 62 and 102 in Lincoln County.

Lincoln County Sheriff Charlie Dougherty said that one victim was shot in the leg following an altercation between two “biker gangs”, the Rednecks MC and the Iron Order MC. Investigators said at least three people opened fire, and the shooters were from both gangs.

I have never had a problem with either club and I am not associated with either of them. As usual & with integrity, we here at Law Abiding Biker™ Media will report based on solid information and facts to the best of our ability. The basement bloggers are likely already having hallucinations of all the possible conspiracy theories that they can write about.

Preliminary information from Sheriff Dougherty is that someone got “blocked off” and a gun battle ensued. One of the men ran towards the casino for cover but a security guard stopped him.

Officials confirmed two rival motorcycle gangs pulled into a gas station in the area, where the gunfire was exchanged. All of the involved parties have been detained for questioning. Officials have also contacted the FBI, since non-tribal members used firearms on tribal land. The biker shot in the leg is a member of the Rednecks MC and his injuries are non-life threatening.

This altercation comes right on the heels of an altercation between the Iron Order MC and the Mongols MC on January 30, 2016 at the Motorcycle Expo at the National Western Complex in Denver, Colorado that left one Mongol MC member dead after being shot.

Also of interest is that on June 26, 2014 at 8:00 PM Iron Order MC member Kristopher Stone was forced to shoot criminal outlaw biker Zachariah Tipton after he and another Black Pistons member stalked him & then committed a brutal two on one gang-style assault on him outside Nippers Beach Grille in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Based on the overwhelming evidence & video footage, the State Attorney stated that Stone was well within the law to defend his life from the brutal attack.
