In this video, I give you a very thorough look at how my 2018 Harley-Davidson Police Edition Electra Glide is equipped. These Harley Police models come from the factory with red and blue lights, siren, and special switches for operation such. When a particular law enforcement agency gets the Harley Police Model then it is up to them from there to set it up in a manner that best suits an officer’s needs. Computers, printers, modems, extra battery and more can be placed in the trunk. Rifles and other equipment can be placed in the saddlebag or on mounted on the outside of the Police Harley model.

Paint schemes and graphics also vary from police agency to police agency. The Police Harley Electra Glide is really a stripped-down version of a Street Glide. There is no stereo in the dash and just a storage box instead. We mount a police radio in that spot. Our police radios connect to our helmet microphone and speaker system via Bluetooth. My Harley-Davidson Heated Grips Broke! What You Should Know!

I have had my Harley heated grips on my 2014 Street Glide Special for about 4 1/2 years now. They have worked great thus far and are still technically working & heating.

However, the throttle side of my Harley heated grips recently started too separate. Basically, there is an inner plastic shaft and the actual outer grip is then attached to that. The outer portion of the Harley heated grip started sliding outward and off of the inner body.

I have to assume that this is glued and it started sliding off over time. I tried pounding it back together with hammers, but that didn’t work so I had to replace the entire throttle side Harley heated grip with a new one. Biker Review of the Icon Patrol 2 Boots-Progressive Motorcycle Riding Shoes/Boots

I recently took an 8 day, 7 State, 3,000-mile motorcycle trip on my Harley-Davidson while wearing and riding with the Icon Patrol 2 Boots. I am always searching for & testing progressive motorcycle riding gear. I'm not very traditional and know there are way better things to ride a Harley in rather than heavy bulky leather coats, chaps, and big clunky biker boots. I like gear that is protective, functional, and often works on and off the bike. (see review video below)

The Icon Patrol 2 Boots met my standards and I really enjoyed wearing them during this motorcycle trip. When you first look them over you can tell they are built well and quality. These shoes/boots offer much riding protection, yet are comfortable and stylish. They come on an off very easy with the BOA lacing system. With the BOA lacing system, classic laces are replaced by stainless steel wires, connected to a turning knob. You can tighten or loosen these shoes to just the right feel.

During my motorcycle trip, it rained at times and it was very nice not to have to worry or pull over as the Icon Patrol 2 boots are waterproof! I could just ride on in conjunction with my other progressive riding gear.

Versatility:

I also walked around town every evening after riding all day for dinner and entertainment wearing these shoes/boots. I got off my motorcycle and hiked trails at Zion National Forest and at the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and these Icon Patrol 2 Boots worked great for that too! That's what I'm talking about when I say I like motorcycle shoes/boots that work for many different things. Space is limited when packing for motorcycle trips, so multi-purpose shoes/boots such as the Icon Patrol 2 Boots work great. On a stiffness scale of 1-10, 10 being the stiffest, I'd rate these at a 6 and they break in easily and nicely. They are very comfortable.

Environments:

I wore the Icon Patrol 2 Boots in temperatures ranging from 45 degrees to 100+ degrees and they handled it well. They could be worn in much colder temps without a problem. Of course, in 100 degree temps your feet can get warm but that is understood and the same thing would happen in any boots. My feet did not get any warmer in the Icon Patrol 2 boots than in any other motorcycle riding shoe/boot I've tested thus far.

Note/Sizing: When ordering the Icon Patrol 2 Boots, order one size larger than you wear as they run small. I am a 9.5 mens and I ordered a 10.5 and they fit perfectly.

Overall, I love the protection, look, the functionality of the Icon Patrol 2 Boots. They are very comfortable and work both on and off the motorcycle. I highly recommend them for local or cross-country motorcycle riding!

Harley Boom Audio Sena 20S EVO Wireless Bluetooth Headset Software Update-Tutorial

I show you how to update the software in your Harley Boom Audio Sena 20S EVO Wireless Bluetooth Headset. Make sure you keep the software up to date as they are fixing issues and often add features. First, you'll need to install the Harley Sena Device Manager on your Mac or PC. Once that's installed I show you a website page and the easiest way to find current software updates for the Boom Audio 20S headset. You can check this page anytime to see if your Boom Audio 20S headset is in need of a software update.

To get the most out of the Harley Sena 20s EVO headset and to integrate it with your Harley Boom Box Infotainment System, you'll need to purchase and install the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) from Harley. This device fixes the inability of the stock Harley Boom Box to “directly” pair with a motorcycle Bluetooth headset. This quickly becomes an expensive fix to a problem Harley and Harman Kardon, the maker of the Boom Box, created in the first place.

Once you've purchased and installed the WHIM & had a dealership flash your Boom Box, the Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset does provide full integration with the Boom Box Infotainment System. That means voice commands, music, turn by turn GPS, intercom, phone calls, CB radio etc. You can also pair with up to 8 other riders with the Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset.

Note: With the WHIM, the only way to get “stereo” sound is to fork out the money and buy a Harley Boom Audio Sena 20s EVO headset. Other headsets may pair, such as the non-Harley branded Sena 20s, but you'll only get “mono” sound and it sucks, trust me.

Other (cheaper) recommendation for full Harley Boom Box Bluetooth wireless integration:

The Sena Freewire was out long before the WHIM and solved the pairing problem just fine. It's what many around Law Abiding Biker Media currently use. The nice thing about the Sena Freewire is that you get full Boom Box integration just like the WHIM, but you'll get “stereo sound” with most current and popular motorcycle Bluetooth wireless headset models! That is huge, since most of us already have expensive motorcycle Bluetooth headsets that we can use and don't want to be forced to buy a Harley stamped headset.

If you have a passenger that you want to communicate with wirelessly through the Boom Box intercom system, you'll need to buy one Sena Freewire for the rider and one for the passenger. With the single WHIM installed, you can run both rider and passenger headsets. That's really the biggest difference between the two.

So, you'll have to price things out and see what option will work best for you depending on your particular needs.
