Motorcycle Lane Splitting is for Fools?

In the below video, I talk about the fact that motorcycle lane splitting or lane filtering may be legalized and coming to your state in 2019? California is still the only state where motorcycle lane splitting is legal and many other states are watching closely. Unfortunately, lane splitting has become a rather controversial topic. Mostly, by those that don't understand the many benefits of motorcycle lane splitting & don't ride motorcycles themselves.

The following states are in different stages of possibly legalizing motorcycle lane splitting:

Maryland, Connecticut, Utah, Oregon, Texas, and Hawaii. If legalized, each state has its own ideas and rules on how motorcycle lane splitting can be done. Examples are, whether it can only be done when traffic is stopped and at what speeds you can actually do it.

Video-Winter Sucks for Riding-Storm Warnings & High Winds-Vlog

Winter hit us hard suddenly here in Eastern Washington State. We have had near zero temps, snow, and wind gusts up to 50mph. These are not the best conditions for riding motorcycles. This is just a quick vlog of what's going on. I'm shoveling snow like a madman to try and get rid of the snow drifts in front of the Law Abiding Biker Shop and Studio so when things thaw we can get the bikes out and ride! We're still producing podcast and videos here for the biker community, regardless of the snow and weather situation.

Best GoPro Action Camera Mounts for Harley-Davidson & Other Motorcycles

In this video, I show you the best GoPro Action Camera Mounts for Harley-Davidson and other motorcycles. I use these mounts often during the making our videos here at Law Abiding Biker Media. I also use them when doing larger film projects like my documentary films.

I show you our Biker Gripper Universal GoPro Action Camera Bar mount that fits 7/8″ to 1 1/4″ round bars and has a ton of adjustment. I also use the Rickrak Universal GoPro Action Camera Motorcycle Bar Clamp mount and love it, as it has tons of flexibility and is easy to take on and off. I also use the Rickrak Action camera fork mount solution. You simply replace one of your fork/fender bolts and you have an awesome shot.

Don't forget to check out both our Ciro 3D and Rickrak GoPro Harley windshield mount solutions and both are solid. We have these Ciro 3D and Rickrak GoPro windshield mounts for Street Glide, Ultras, and Road Glides, so make sure you choose the correct model.

I spent the day in the Tri-Cities Washington area picking up my 2007 Harley-Davidson Night Train. The Law Abiding Biker Online Store facility is near Richland, WA. The guys that run the store had been storing the Night Train for over a year and riding it for me. Now that the new Law Abiding Biker Shop and Studio have been built I have room to store her again. Best Cup & Drink Holder for Harley & Motorcycles

This is truly the best cup and drink holder for your Harley-Davidson or other brand motorcycles. I have tested many junk cup holders from Amazon and eBay. They are ugly, made poorly, and don't last. The Ciro 3D cup and drink holder for Harley is what we use exclusively here at Law Abiding Biker Media, Inc. when traveling cross-country on our motorcycles. There are several Harley cup holder versions to choose from. We have a universal 1 1/4″ or 7/8″-1″ round bar mount. Mount it to your handlebars, engine guards, or saddlebag guards! Or you can choose our perch mount option. You simply remove the two bolts (left or right side) that clamp your controls to your handlebars and replace them with the included bolts and spacers.

One of the Ciro 3D cup holder models comes with a stainless steel insulated mug and the setup is very sleek looking. The other option is a more universal holder and has a rubber basket. Both holders can fit different size mugs and cups.

Basic Police Motorcycle School-High Speed Fast Track Spokane, WA-County Raceway-PT4

I spent 3 weeks in Spokane, Wa at Police Motorcycle Instructor School where I assisted with instructing a Basic Police Motorcycle School. This is part 4 of 4 of a series I did. Check out the entire series using the links below!

Here in part 4, we instructors took the new Police Motorcycle Officer Students to the Spokane County Raceway in Spokane, Wa to teach them the skills they'll need to know to ride and corner at higher speeds. Prior to being able to go to the race track, each new student had to qualify and demonstrate their abilities on the slower speed technical police motorcycle course. They had been learning and practicing hard up to test day earlier in the week. Yes, some students don't make it past certain riding tests and have to leave the school. Being a Police Motorcycle Officer is not for everyone and the school is extremely demanding.

I spoke to several students prior to going to the race track and admittedly they were a bit nervous. After all, they had never ridden a motorcycle at over 100 mph and done aggressive cornering. It is good to have some nerves and caution, as this will keep you safe.

The students started out slow of course and followed instructors to learn the proper race track lines. Then they were able to try it themselves and modify the lines a bit. By the end of the day, there was significant improvement and confidence and this is the exact purpose of race track day.

In this video, I was riding my 2013 Harley-Davidson Police Electra Glide with a 103 ci motor. Often you will see me following a student who is riding a 2017 Harley-Davidson Police Electra Glide with the new 107 ci Milwaukee-Eight motor.

Whatever riding ability you are at, make certain you are always training and pushing yourself to the next level of riding. It could save your life. Do it in a controlled environment and most of all have fun!
