To see if this 2024 Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide ST is truly race-inspired, I rode it at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway race track to rigorously test its overall capabilities. While it stands as an impressive bike, it falls short of perfection. Depending on the type of riding one prefers, it may not be your optimal choice within the 2024 Harley model lineup.

The Engine:

The heart of the Harley Road Glide CVO ST lies in its Milwaukee-Eight 121 ci engine, featuring a cam upgrade and high-flow intake that delivers 127 horsepower at 4900 RPM, 145 ft. lbs. of torque at 4000 RPM, and a redline at 5900 RPM. In contrast to the regular CVO models with variable valve timing (VVT), this model's absence of internal VVT allows for easier upgrades and tuning for race-inspired performance. On the track, the engine comes alive at higher RPMs, providing an exhilarating experience with just the right amount of feedback in the handlebars.

Changes I'd Like To See:

In contemplating future iterations, a desire for increased lean angle is expressed, as the current 33 degrees on the right and 32 on the left may limit experienced riders on the track. Additionally, while the completely adjustable Showa suspension is appreciated, a shift toward electronically adjustable suspension within the digital dash system is suggested.
