Note: With the Rockford Fosgate front amp & speakers install you will need to “flash” or “re-program” your Boom!™ Box Infotainment System prior to or after install. Flashing the Boom Box will allow it to recognize the new amp and speaker setup along with putting out the proper levels. Understand, Harley dealerships will no longer flash the Boom Box for you unless you purchase their Harley branded Boom Audio Stage speaker and amp kits. No worries though, you can simply visit an authorized Rockford Fosgate dealer that has the appropriate hardware and software and they will flash the Boom Box for you for a fee. You can find a list of those authorized dealers on the Rockford Fosgate website.

I purchased the video on how install a HD detachable trunk, hardware and trunk relocate antenna and signals on touring models and thought it would show me how to add the tour pack break lighting and signals but it didn’t.
Do you guys have a video for that?
Ryan Urlacher says
In the video we show everything Eddie?? Did you watch the entire video? We did it exactly how the kit comes and the things to do.
Don Klatt says
Hey Ryan,
I installed this system on my 15 Ultra that I rarely have the tour pack on, so I only did it as Street Glide install. All went well and I had it flashed at a Rockford Fosgate dealer. It sounds like it needs way more bass, any ideas on what settings on the Amp to help with this? I don’t want to risk blowing speakers or the amp if I just start turning knobs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Don Klatt

Ryan Urlacher says
That’s typical of a motorcycle stereo systems in general. Most of them sound that way. The reason for that is that bass is lost anyway when going down the road at 70 plus. They focus on mids and highs. It’s only when stopped you could enjoy the bass anyways. Set the amp per the recommended settings.
James (Jim) Bolton says
Ryan, will this upgrade work and improve a 2016 CVO Ultra?
Ryan Urlacher says
I can’t remember which system the CVO has in it for that year. It would depend.

Do you have a video for install the four speakers rockford fostage stage 3 (front fairing and rear saddlebags)?
This video includes how to flash the radio?
Matt Couchman says
The video shows the amp and fairing speaker install. Flash has to be done by a shop.
