BLOG-Well I am super stoked and have been working diligently on getting the NEW AND IMPROVED Law Abiding Biker (LAB) Podcast studio/office and equipment up and running. I have been very fortunate and the good Lord answered some serious prayers of mine, thus allowing me to sell some personal items I had listed in different places for some time!! Suddenly those things sold out of the blue, giving me basically the exact amount of money I needed to invest into the podcasting equipment I have longed for. God does answer prayers and I am very thankful. It has been a long process getting everything set up by myself and with the limited space I have to work with, but I am not complaining. My office is small, but much bigger than podcasting from my daughter's 6'x6′ closet with less than adequate equipment and no ventilation. 🙂 I thank God that he has seen me through this ongoing endeavor and I can get real serious about this now. I am still lacking a few minor equipment items, but I have workarounds for those things for the time being. I have spent the last two days running sound tests, recording short test podcasts, and reviewing everything for quality. In the future I plan to blog on the exact specifics of the very limited equipment I got started with. I have never taken any podcasting classes, website building classes, or any other technical classes allowing me to do these things. I have spent literally hundreds and hundreds of hours over many years to get to where I am. Much frustration has come along the way as it always does with tech stuff. I have learned all this stuff on my own, but it is truly God that keeps me focused and allows me to learn such things.
Everything is coming together nicely and I can't wait to pump out the first LAB Podcast using the new awesome equipment!! I am getting everything set just perfect, so a superior rich audio product can be produced for the listeners out there!! Next to content, audio quality is extremely important. I thank all my listeners that have stuck with me even though I had hardly any equipment and the audio was not the best. I hope to really step things up from this point on and take the LAB Podcast to the next level. I am going to put 100% of my focus on the LAB Podcast for quite a while, but there will likely be other Podcasts in the future………I can't stop the ideas from popping in my head. Along with getting the podcast stuff done, I was able to shoot an awesome tutorial video last week. It is about Harley Davidson motorcycles and some tips and tricks. I will leave it at that for now, as I don't want to give the full content away at this point. Expect that free video to come out sometime late next week. I think the video will really help some LAB bikers out there, which is what this forum is all about. Thanks to my Sworn Few LEMC brother, Rob, for being involved with the video shoot.
Expect Law Abiding Biker (LAB) Media to keep pumping out fun entertaining podcast with rich content that can be useful for all law-abiding bikers. You, the listeners, are my focus. I have three of my brothers set to start co-hosting LAB Podcasts with me. I was able to add two additional microphones to my studio for guests and co-hosts. I am all set to do phone interviews and will eventually be set for Skype interviews. I already have a couple of phone interviews done and recorded and a couple others on standby. I am still just getting everything dialed in and still need a few items, but I am good and set for the time being. Sometimes there will be one c0-host and sometimes two, and on occasion it will be just me. It just depends on schedules and what the content that is being put out consists of. Anyone who has listened to the LAB Podcast knows that there is no other similar motorcycle enthusiast podcast out there with the extremely diverse range of content we put out. We cover all law-abiding bikers and the content is just too long to list right now. We care about our audience and want you involved, so leave us those emails and voice mails right on the contact page of this website. We have listeners that range from those that are thinking about getting a bike, to beginning bikers,to those that are experienced veteran riders. I appreciate the emails and support my listeners have given me and the appreciation for addressing all law-abiding bikers and relevant issues etc. I have so many podcast show content ideas that it is hard to prioritize!! Bottom line is, we will get to each topic in due time and have a blast doing it! Of course your emails and voice mails will change what topic we talk about next, as those will take priority. We want to talk about what you want to hear, discuss or even learn.
As many of you know, I injured my hand at work on February 20th and I have been unable to ride my Harley since then. I have been in a cast and then a splint, which I officially got off yesterday! My right hand is healing and I can now officially use it with some restrictions. The doctor says the restrictions will be in place for about the next 4 weeks. However, turning the throttle on my Harley Street Glide is not one of the restrictions, so I got out today and went for ride for the first time since February 20th!! Man do I feel alive after that ride!! It still amazes me after all these years what a motorcycle ride can do for the mind and soul!! Lets just say that I am satisfied and will sleep well tonight. Thank you God!
