Video-Remove Harley Clutch Cable Assembly Under Side Transmission Cover-DIY

Video-In this free DIY video we show you how to remove your Harley side transmission cover and disconnect & then replace your Harley clutch cable assembly inside. Make sure you have a new side cover gasket ready to go and some oil/fluid to replace what you loose when removing the side transmission cover. There is also a small rubber o-ring you might want to have on hand to replace where the clutch cable enters the side cover. It tends to get damaged during removal/install. It can be re-used if it looks like it's in good condition.

2014 & newer Harley Davidson's have hydraulic clutches, so this side transmission cover is just for looks and you'll lose no oil when removing it. There is just a bleeder valve for the hydraulic clutch line hidden behind it.

Save yourself a ton of money by not having to take your Harley to the dealership to have these types of projects done. You can do this right in your very own shop or garage and right on the kickstand. Plus, have the absolute satisfaction of wrenching on your own Harley!

Video-In this video, we give you a detailed look and overview of a 2015 Triumph Bonneville T100 motorcycle. This bike actually belongs to Rick “Big Daddy” Kane here at Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media. He recently purchased it as a fun little secondary bike for short rides & for it's vintage look and history. He rides a Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited for his touring motorcycle. Because this is now last years model you can pick this Triumph up from a dealership for about $7,500.

The Bonneville looks vintage of course but has up-to-date technologies. It has two-pot calipers squeeze single-disc brakes with the help of braided-steel lines. It has modern double throttle bodies for the electronic fuel injection that are made to look like carburetors for that vintage look.

The T100 has spoke wheels both front and rear, two-tone paint, fork gaiters, & peashooter pipes. It's equipped with KYB adjustable shocks.

The T100 has an 865cc air-cooled parallel twin fuel-injected motor and delivers 59 hp.

This would bike would be a great motorcycle for a beginner or entry level rider and it has a pretty good price point. Or in this case, a great fun secondary bike to ride due to the eye-catching vintage style. It is a fun little bike and Big Daddy enjoys short rides or around town on it. It's definitely not suited for long rides. The bike could handle it, but you likely couldn't.

During my test ride, I did some threshold emergency braking tests. This bike does not have ABS & has a very light rear end. The rear tire locks up during emergency braking with very little pressure applied to the foot pedal. Beware of emergency braking [Read more…]

Video-In this completely free video we show you how to install a Vance & Hines Naked VO2 Air Intake Kit on a Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The VO2 air intake is V&H's version of a Harley Stage-One Air Intake kit. These kits all do basically the same thing, which is to allow more air through the intake by removing the rear plastic cover behind the stock Harley air cleaner.

Each company has their own version of a Harley stage one kit and manufacturing is different. Each has unique parts and different processes for installation.

In this video, we actually install the V&H Naked VO2 Air Intake on a 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide. The process would be the same for 2014 and newer touring models.

After installing any stage one air intake kit on your Harley you will need to remap the electronic fuel injection (EFI). There are many aftermarket EFI tuners and we have you covered. Video-Install Harley 7-pin DIN Audio & Communications Kit/Plug-DIY

Video-In this free video we show you in great detail how to install a 7-pin DIN audio & communications kit or plug on your Harley-Davidson touring model. Models such as the Harley Ultra Classic or Ultra Limited already come set up with this 7-pin plug. However, models such as Harley Street Glides and Road Glides don't come stock with it.

The biggest benefit to installing the Harley 7-pin DIN is so that you can then use an aftermarket wired headset (see products below) in conjunction with your stereo system on 98 to current Harley-Davidson motorcycles!

Give voice commands directly to the Harley-Davidson Boom!™ Box Infotainment System such as directions, tune to radio stations, make a phone call etc! And, if you and your passenger are equipped with a wired headset you can communicate with each other!
