PODCAST-In this episode we cut through all the smoke, mirrors, politics, and money involved with the rising controversy about whether or not E15 ethanol fuel, also called renewable fuel, is safe to be used in motorcycles, ATV's, and small engines. We have a very heated discussion and really break it down on this biker podcast episode for all the bikers/motorcyclists out there, who have a right to know whether E15 fuel is safe to use. Biker/motorcyclists should know that if you use E15 in your motorcycle it will likely VOID YOUR WARRANTY. Read your motorcycle owner's manual and paperwork, as it likely states in there somewhere that using E15 fuel will void your motorcycle's warranty. It is in the Harley Davidson manual for certain, so beware. Also know that the EPA is pushing E15 fuel and you may get confused and use the fuel in your motorcycle by mistake from blender pumps that are already in service around the country. Paul Pelland, also known as “Long Haul Paul”, has a truly amazing story and he shares everything with me in this interview. You won't want to miss this biker podcast episode of true inspiration and dedication. I learned that Paul Pelland is an absolute machine and force to be reckoned with in spite of the fact that in 2005 he was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). He didn't let that stop him from being a biker and he made it his life's mission to ride his motorcycle a million miles in his fight to bring awareness to MS. It is called “Paul Pelland's Endless Road Tour”. In addition, he is driving efforts to raise money for MS research and to find a cure! The inaugural 2013 MS5000 ride was a great successful fundraiser. 45 riders collectively rode 200,000 miles while raising $23,000 for Multiple Sclerosis. Anyone can enter the MS5000 event and you ride the miles you can to support the National MS Society.

PODCAST-In this episode we read an email from a listener who is contemplating a big change from a Honda metric motorcycle to a Harley Davidson. She is used to a shaft final drive on her Honda motorcycle and is not familiar with the belt final drive that Harley Davidson uses on their motorcycles. Further, she is not certain about chain final drives that some use. She wanted to specifically know about the pros and cons of a motorcycle belt final drive vs. a chain final drive. Of course, we support all makes of motorcycles here at Law Abiding Biker Podcast and Media.

We break straight through to the truths and myths when it comes to motorcycle chains and belts. We kept it real and focused in on what the average every day law abiding biker and motorcycling majority (the 99%ers) would need to know about this subject. Our dicussion is not geared towards motorcycle drag racers or track racers, as that is not what we do here at LAB Media. We ride real bikes in real world conditions and for long distances. EFI TUNER INFORMATION AND UNITS BELOW ON THIS PAGE

PODCAST-In this episode we really try and break through the confusion on all these aftermarket motorcycle electronic fuel injection (EFI) boxes and gadgets that are for sale on the market out there. It can be awfully confusing and daunting to most, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be. We know that after you listen to this podcast episode you will feel much more comfortable with the subject and be in the know. Let us take all the confusion out of mapping the fuel injection on your motorcycle with these aftermarket products. We have actually utilized some of these products and are going to try others. We also cover when you need to remap your EFI and when it is not necessary. We discuss why there are certain times you might want to do a remap.

For some remapping your EFI it is not necessary and for others it is an exciting journey that has endless possibilities for fine tuning your motorcycle! Do you want more low end or top end power for your motorcycle? Are the prices for these motorcycle EFI tuning gadgets worth it? Should I just get the standard Harley-Davidson dealership EFI download into my Electronic Control Module (ECM)? Should I trust all these aftermarket EFI tuners? The Power Commander V is a basic EFI tuning device that connects to your Engine Control Module (ECM) on your motorcycle. It will need to be connected to a PC to install the basic tuning maps that you can download based on your intake/exhaust set up. These are basic maps that will tune your bike overall, but you will not get any super fine tuning unless you add the Auto Tuner (below).

**No MAC support (Ridiculous). PC only.

This is a great option if you are just putting an aftermarket air intake on and some new headers/exhaust. You can download a basic tuning map form their website and upload it into the Power Commander V and you are on your way. If you ever change pipes or intake you can simply find a new map to download. For the average biker you may need nothing more than this device.

I would suggest the PCV over the basic EFI map that your Harley Dealership will flash your ECM with after you change your air intake or pipes which costs over $200. If you ever change pipes or intake you will be back in the dealership paying them another $200 to do a basic remap of your EFI. With the PCV you will never have to make a map purchase again.

The DynoJet Auto Tune kit is an “add on” accessory that can be used with the Power Commander V.

It connects to the PCV with a single cable and requires only a ground and +12 volt connection to be made to install (Harley models include connector for plugging directly into the bikes’ +12 volt line).

It comes with two O2 sensors, two control modules, CAN connection cables, and custom length sensor cables. It also includes a built in power connector that plugs directly into the bikes’ wiring harness for easy connection.

Once installed, the Auto Tune kit monitors the fuel mixture (by installing the included Wide Band O2 sensor in the exhaust). It then sends this information to the Power Commander V and automatically corrects it while you ride.

For Harley Davidson models it even monitors and adjusts each cylinder individually for increased precision as on these models required fueling can vary significantly between the front and rear cylinder.

For advanced users that would like to change the Air/Fuel ratios from our baseline they are fully adjustable.

PODCAST-In this episode we get deep into what you may want to know about joining the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club-LEMC. This episode is very informational and will speak to any Law Abiding Biker. Whether you want to join a Law Abiding Biker (LAB) Club, the Sworn Few LEMC, you are already a member of a LAB club, , another LEO club, a civilian club, a mixed club, or you are curious about what club entrance standards your club might want to have, then you will want to listen for sure! This blog also has much information to offer.

Due to requests, we wanted to put this episode out to answer any questions people may have about some of the requirements to be considered to join an established Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Chapter or to start a new Sworn Few LEMC Chapter. As most of you know by now, Ryan Urlacher the owner/founder and hosts of the Law Abiding Biker (LAB) Podcast, are all full-time Law Enforcement Officers (LEO's) and members of the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club-LEMC. From now on, persons showing interest in joining the Sworn Few LEMC or showing interest will be directed to this podcast episode first.

HERE IS SOME INFORMATION YOU SHOULD KNOW ABOUT THE SWORN FEW LEMC:

Thanks for your interest in the Sworn Few Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club (LEMC). We truly appreciate your interest in our club. There is much to discuss reference a possible chapter in your area or your interest in joining an established chapter and it would need to be done via a personal phone call. There is just too much information and/or questions to answer via email, so send make sure you provide us with your full name and a call back phone number. To contact the Sworn Few LEMC-CLICK HERE. We have processes and protocols in place for handling new chapter and membership requests. We must tell you that it is quite a commitment and process to make it all the way into the Sworn Few LEMC brotherhood & nothing is guaranteed or given. Everything is earned through honesty, brotherhood, hard work, dedication, integrity, and professionalism.

The Sworn Few LEMCabsolutely doesn't care about club/chapter numbers, but we are certainly open to adding the highest quality of members (true brothers). We have made very firm decisions to move forward cautiously and follow our protocols.

Unfortunately, we see too many LEMC's growing way too fast and membership comes extremely easy. There is no pride in something that comes easy or is given away. Also, with that sort of rapid growth comes many problems that we will avoid at all costs in the SFMC. Many LEMC’s are popping up all over and they only care about numbers and don’t properly screen or evaluate their membership. Actions of some of those LEO club members have put a negative light on us all. The simple fact that one is a LEO certainly does not make them a good LEMC member.

Simply put, many just don't want to put in the actual time, work, and commitment that is necessary to establish a Sworn Few LEMC chapter or to become a member, and that's okay with us. The Sworn Few LEMC's standards are set very high for a reason. We have very clear visions about the future of this club and protecting its integrity. Only those that have truly sought and obtained full SFMC membership will ever feel that kind of pride and brotherhood. It simply can’t be put into words. Also know that we don't have any, nor will we ever have so-called “Nomads” in the SFMC. There will never be one SFMC member in an area. The SFMC is first and foremost about brotherhood and you can't have that if someone is a “Nomad” and a loner.

To get started with a possible chapter you would need 4 minimum and 6 maximum TRUE brothers that you fully trust, respect, and know well to even be considered to start an SFMC “support crew”, which is the first step in our process should that happen. Please understand that we are certainly not trying to scare you away whatsoever. We don’t recruit for members like some LEMC’s and any member you see has come to us on their own seeking membership.
