Harley-Davidson brand heated grips on all 2000 and newer Harley-Davidson models. 

These Harley heated grip kits come with horrible and confusing instructions. SAVE YOUR MONEY, there is no need to take your Harley-Davidson motorcycle to the dealership to get heated grips installed. Plus, have the pure satisfaction of working on your own Harley. 

In this detailed video, you will see diagrams I created so you can fully understand how the heated grips work, are powered, the wire is routed, and why you are connecting wires a certain way. 

From our experience, Harley-Davidson has not changed the heated grip kits dating back to 2000. The heated grip kits are very universal in nature. So, the install itself is universal and the only thing that has changed between years/models is exactly where it is recommended you tie into a power source. That's the only thing you'll have to glance at those nasty instructions for. 

You will be provided with multiple video files showing different years/models and the power tie in variations. You will quickly determine the minor differences, which will not change the overall heated grip install.

There is the primary tutorial for installing Harley-Davidson heated grips on 2000-2023 models, as well as select 2024 motorcycles. In 2024, Harley introduced the Street Glide and Road Glide with a completely redesigned fairing, marking significant changes to these models. However, the rest of the touring bikes with fairings remained unchanged, making 2024 a transition year for Harley-Davidson.

There are two main installation videos available—After purchase, simply choose the one that matches your bike. If your model has the older fairing, use the first video. For those with the newly redesigned fairing, the second video is the correct one for your installation.

NOTE: As Harley transitions their line of motorcycles to newer technology, models without a fairing will eventually be using the new 2024 style Harley heated grips, which have one wire with a plug coming out of the end as seen in our 2024 and newer install video file. If you don't have a fairing model, watch both video files after purchase and choose which will work best for your application.
