VLOG-41-Harley Dyna Low Rider S Westcoast T-Bar Handlebars Install Project

We are installing 12″ Westcoast MX T-bars on a 2016 Harley Dyna Low Rider S. We have the bike on the lift in the Law Abiding Biker™ Garage. Lurch and I broke the Harley down this weekend and filmed it as usual.

There is not much information out right now in catalogs and online on the Dyna Low Rider S, as it was a special production bike. So, we broke it down and measured the stock clutch cable and front upper brake line. We figured out how much over stock length we'd need to go to accommodate these 12″ T-bars.

Armed with proper cable/line lengths, we ordered up what we'd need and had the shipping expedited, so we can put the bike back together next weekend. After we film putting the bike back together, we'll get the video into edit and hopefully release it to the biker community soon! You can check here for the handlebar install video.

Snowboarding Day-Oscar Goes 80’s-Board or Die-White Pass, Washington-VLOG-40

It has been just plain cold here in the Yakima, Wa area for about 4 weeks straight now. We have gotten quite a bit of snow and near zero temperatures. The roads are not good and riding our motorcycles has been impossible. We haven't even seen the sun for some time and we're feeling cooped up!

Oscar and I from Law Abiding Biker Media decided to take matters into our own hands and get out of the house. We decided to take a trip to White Pass, WA for a snowboarding day! We broke above and out of the low cloud/fog inversion and it was warmer on the snowboarding slopes then it was in town!

The most interesting thing about this trip is that Oscar has not been snowboarding since 2006. I snowboard yearly, so I'm good to go.

Yes really, Oscar's snowboard is the same one he rode in the 90's. It has a pointed tip and is directional. The bindings are also old school and likely not eve legal. LOL. Oscar put Bike Brite Moto Glaze motorcycle wax on his old school board and tried to sharpen the edges himself.

Come see me heckle Oscar in this vlog and spend a day with us on the slopes. We had a blast and it took our minds off not being able to ride our Harley's.

At the end of the day we had to head back into the low clouds, fog, and near zero temps…….

Motorcycle Trip to The Brick Saloon in Roslyn, Washington | Biker Destination | Patron Ride Along-VLOG 37

VLOG-Some of us from the Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media crew set out for a quick day ride to The Brick Saloon in Roslyn, WA. If you're a Law Abiding Biker and in the area, this is a must stop and a very biker friendly place. You'll feel very welcomed as a biker. The food is great and the beer is cold…….

The Brick Saloon is Washington State's oldest continuously operating bar, established in 1889. They showcase the original 23’ running water spittoon and a basement jail.

Along for the ride, we had Patron Member Russell Roberts. He is a big supporter of Law Abiding Biker and had come into our area for a few days on business. He spent time riding with us and when we returned he even spit two podcast episodes with us! We always love to hook up with our beloved Patron Members when we can.

UPDATE: Version 1.20.3 is NO Different than veriosn 1.20.2

Harley Davidson and Harman Kardon just released Boom!™ Box software update version 1.20.3 in January of 2017. There are just some small behind the scenes fixes to version 1.20.2 that was released on October 17, 2016. Many of you know, HD pulled 1.20.2 shortly after release as some bikers were having problems. It's all fixed in 1.20.3 now.

So check the video out below for 1.20.2 and know that it's the same for 1.20.3

Harley Davidson and Harman Kardon just released Boom!™ Box software update version 1.20.2 on October 17, 2016. This comes after software update versions 1.20.1 was released in August 2016. We have received many inquiries from bikers asking if they should update to this latest version. It is always a good idea to wait and see if an update fixes more than it breaks and let me have some time to test things.

Note: This particular update if for the Boom Box 4.3 Standard, 6.5T Premium, and the CVO 6.5GT systems. I give the go ahead to update to this new Boom Box software update version, 1.20.2.

iPhone Siri Functionality!

Of particular interest in this update is integration with iPhone's Siri functions. However, a headset with boom mic will be needed. Once you have connected your iPhone to the Boom Box via Bluetooth, you can push and hold the voice command button on the left control cluster for five seconds. Then Siri will be activated and through your headset mic you can give Siri all the commands we are all used to and hear her responses. You can get directions, find nearby restaurants, play songs, albums, podcasts, and skip to new songs by simply telling Siri!

You'll want your iPhone perched up where you can see it in a Biker Gripper , the sexiest, sleekest, and strongest cell phone motorcycle mount on the market.

Don't worry, as you still may want use the GPS built into the Boom Box and you can. Instead of holding the voice command button for five seconds you simply push it quickly and let up and the Boom Box voice command menu will appear instead of Siri activation. Then, through your headset mic you can give the Boom Box all the specific commands we have all become accustomed to, such as navigation.

I installed and tested this software update for you. As usual, don't expect any miracles and that suddenly all things will be fixed for ever user. They still have a long way to go to get rid of all the problems that persist with the Harley Boom!™ Box Infotainment System. We are all skeptical that they'll ever get the Boom Box working perfectly at this point.

Install Harley 7-pin DIN Audio & Communications Kit/Plug & Learn What Headsets Will Work With the Boom Box

Question: If I get behind on updating my Boom Box software, will I have to go back and install each past update I missed?

Answer: No, you do not have to update incrementally. If you get behind, just grab the latest software update here and install it. It will update everything you need including past updates. There is no access to the older updates from the Harley website anyways.

Remember; The Harley Boom!™ Box still has many annoying bugs and problems, so don't expect this software update to suddenly fix everything.

This update claims to fix the following: (1.20.2)

Improvements
· Support for quarterly dealer database updates and database version screen.
· Switch to call screen when call initiated from phone.
· Headset sidetones added for CB.
· Prompt user to transfer active call to device at key off.
· Default zoom level set for Maneuvers.

Added Features
· Siri functionality has been added. Hold Voice Recognition button for 5 seconds to activate.
· Added media browsing over Bluetooth for iPhone.
· New feature to allow searching for another address while still having an active route.

Fixes
· Allow Nav and Dealer USB update prior to Navigation Loading.
· Post Code entry for HDI and ROW radios has been re-enabled.
· Media pause after fast forward.
· Activation code issue when USB drive is removed and reinserted.
· Navigation data fields no longer overlap next turn during recalculation.
· Japan radio shows Setup button twice.
· Weather map zoom level persistence.
· Passenger Intercom volume shows “off” when driver adjusts.
· Prevent import of Nav destinations with incomplete data.
· Media remains paused after multiple rapid prompts.
· Roadway icons overlap in traffic list.
· Improved indexing time for USB devices with large numbers of media files.
· Bluetooth connection persistence.
· Performance and stability enhancements.

Cuz is Sexy? Tall Harley Rider Modifications | Wife’s junk in your garage?-VLOG-32

Video-Another long work day behind the scenes and inside Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media. We start the day with a bunch of junk that the wife piled up in the Law Abiding Biker garage film studio. Uuuuuugh.

Lurch and I spend the day filming multiple projects on his 2015 Harley Road Glide. We installed extended floor pans, a Kuryakyn extended brake pedal, a Vance & Hines VO2 Naked Air Intake, and we remove the muffler packing from his Vance & Hines Titan 450 Over Sized slip-on mufflers for more sound.

We then have pizza provided by on of our beloved Patrons Gregory Gaxiola.

We finish eating pizza and head to the Law Abiding Biker Podcast Studio for a Live Blab episode followed by another non-live episode.

LAB Motorcycle Trip Colorado, Utah, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon, Washington-Ride Along-See Who We Meet! |Two Part Documentary

Video-Come ride along with us in this two part documentary of a six day motorcycle trip the Law Abiding Biker™ crew took across country. That's right, we don't just talk motorcycles, we live the life. We love long road trips and rode 2700 miles, starting from Yakima, Washington. We rode through Idaho, Oregon, Utah, Wyoming, and ended up in Colorado. We met up with Law Abiding Biker Patron Member Al Long, who was our expert tour guide around Denver for a day. We love meeting up with our Patron Members, so get hooked up. We may be coming to a city near you soon!

We spent our nights in Logan, Utah, Fort Collins, Colorado, Jackson, Wyoming, and Boise, Idaho. We experienced each of these cities and checked out the night life. We love talking to people during our travels and other law abiding bikers and you'll get to see who we met. We found nice little places to eat and drink cold beers and we take you right along with us.

The riding was awesome and we covered some beautiful country. Ride along with us and see some of those areas we rode. You will likely find some places you'll want to visit on your next motorcycle trip!
