Video-We get asked all the time here at Law Abiding Biker™ Podcast & Media…….what is the best & safest waterless motorcycle cleaner to use on Harley-Davidson denim paint or any motorcycle paint for that matter?

The answer is definitely Bugslide. It is completely safe and highly recommended by us for use on Harley denim paint. I actually tested Bugslide for years on a 2011 Harley Street Glide I owned with black denim paint. I also tested it for a year using Bugslide on a 2007 Harley Night Train with pewter denim paint. Buglside is good not only for denim paint, but all motorcycle paints.

You'll want to be careful about using waxes and certain cleaners on Harley denim paint as they will shine the dull paint look over time. Bugslide will not do that and cleans denim paint like a dream. Harley-Davidson makes what they call a denim paint cleaner. Of course, they stamp their logo on it and mark the price up. I tested Harley's denim paint cleaner and Bugslide blew it away in every way.

Video-I recently went on a 6 day 2700 mile motorcycle trip on my Harley Street Glide Special from Washington State and ultimately ended up in Colorado. We were riding very long days and of course, the bike took a beating with bugs, dirt, and grime over several days.

I got to Colorado and wanted to spend some time there riding around and exploring. Many bikers think you have to just to ride with a filthy motorcycle the rest of a trip as there is no easy way to wash it or they have no room to carry the proper supplies.

Well, it's super easy for anyone to clean their motorcycle during a road trip if they are carrying Bugslide & a micro-fiber cloth! On motorcycle road trips, I prefer to carry the 4 oz Bugslide Travel Kit and it comes with a high-quality micro-fiber cloth. It easily fits in my saddlebags and doesn't take up much space. That little bottle of Bugslide lasted my entire 6-day trip, cleaning my Harley every other day. I still had some left in the bottle when I got home and a little goes a long way.

I just sprayed Bugslide on my front fairing and let it soak for a minute. Then I spent a few minutes wiping the bugs off with ease. BUGSLIDE waterless cleaner…”Don’t ride without the slide”

It is a very benign product and easy to use. Surprisingly, I had never heard of this product and stumbled across it online. You can buy BUGSLIDE online from numerous places.

I have used many waterless motorcycle cleaners over the years to remove bugs and road grime from my motorcycle. All the ones I have used have a thick waxy type spray. Although they do work, they streak and take a lot of elbow grease to remove bugs, road grime, and streaks.

So, I tried the BUGSLIDE for the first time and was truly amazed at how well it worked at removing the bugs and not swirling my new windshield. It removed the bugs with hardly any effort. I just sprayed it on and let it sit for a minute. Then I utilized the micro-fiber cloth that came with the BUGSLIDE to remove the product and the bugs. I also shined some of my chrome that had road grime on it.

The nice thing about BUGSLIDE, compared to the other waxy type sprays that come in a can, is that BUGLSLIDE has a very liquid type consistency, which makes it very easy to apply and wipe off without much effort and with no streaking. I must say that it smells very nice too, and does not have that waxy chemical smell to it.

I must say that I went into this review with an open mind and was very impressed with how BUGSLIDE performed compared to other products. And it works better than all those other products I have been using all these years. I can also see that you don’t have to spray on much BUGSLIDE to clean your bike. For that reason, a bottle will last much longer than the other types of waxy cleaners I have spoken of.

The thing I really like about BUGLSIDE is that I can use it directly on my denim black paint job. If you don’t know, the other waxy type cleaners in cans will actually take away your denim look and start shining it, so don’t use them if you have a denim paint job (primer type look-no shine). So, I had to use a separate Harley denim paint type cleaner on the tins and fairing and then the other waxy cleaner for my chrome. BUGSLIDE is all I need now! I can spray it over the entire bike and go to work cleaning it!

I am absolutely sold on BUGSLIDE and it will now be the only waterless cleaner I will have in my shop and in my saddle bag. I am going to have the rest of our club, the Sworn Few MC, try it out too. I honestly can’t find anything bad to say about the performance of this product.

I strongly urge you to give this product a try, as I know you will be hooked. Why work so hard to do a quick waterless cleaning of your motorcycle when you can do it with ease with BUGSLIDE?
